About

Just another writer with a blog.

My name is Amber Nicole Brooks. I live, work, and write in Atlanta, Georgia. Someday, I will finish up my MFA from Georgia State University. I’m a mother, writer, teacher, reader, editor, and artist. I read for Five Points. I’m Art Editor of SUB-LIT. A story I wrote, “Love is Like a Rock,” placed 3rd in the 2007 Playboy College Fiction Contest. I’m currently working on several projects, fiction and non-fiction. This blog is an outlet for distributing information about local events, for sharing information about publications and publishing, for discussing the world of literary publishing…you get the idea.

Great site, Amber. You will have to follow up on your beach reads. My summer reads have so far been Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas and My Life, by Bill Clinto (still reading). Not very exciting. P.S. it is 5:39 AM and I am awake because I took non-drowsy cold medicine before bed so I have been up every half hour. Blech.
